The problem
What they came to us with
Students needed access to twenty two different lab environments, from AI and cybersecurity to CAD and game development, without the college buying and maintaining twenty two rooms of desktops. Existing machines were ageing, and the software licensing alone was becoming unmanageable.
What we did
The approach
We started at the floor. Room layout, rack positions, containment and precision cooling, then the platform on top: control plane, storage, GPU pool and a branded portal students log into. Labs were delivered in three phases so the first six were in use while the rest were still being built.

Where it ended up
Twenty two labs are live and serving over four thousand concurrent users, with headroom designed in to reach eight thousand. Existing desktops became thin clients rather than landfill, and the college now runs one environment instead of twenty two.
