- 01Meter the rackReal power drawn at the rack, not a datasheet figure multiplied by a utilisation guess.
- 02Trace the applicationRequests, tokens and durations captured at the application, on the same clock as the power data.
- 03Attribute to workUsage mapped to project and workload, so the number means something to the person who can change it.
- 04Reconcile against the billThe model is validated against what was actually paid, otherwise it is a simulation.
- 05Report the trendRe-measured on a schedule, so a model swap or a hardware change shows up as a number rather than a feeling.
