Support
Fixed price against a defined scope. Where the customer wants us to keep running it afterwards, that is quoted separately as a monthly service rather than folded into the build.
We specify it and can procure it, but it stays on your balance sheet. We are not trying to be in the hardware margin business.
Often, yes. It usually starts with a short review of what exists so nobody is quoting against assumptions.
Then that is what they buy. A design and a costed build path is a perfectly good deliverable on its own.
